Week 2 Swing Updates

Some lessons feel like breakthroughs and others feel like every muscle in your body wants to resist. This morning's lesson falls into the latter category.

If you have been following along with the series the first thing you'll notice is the setup, and if you can tell from the video my grip has changed after my work with Steve Riggs. My feet are closer together, my shoulder angle is closer to where it should be, and my right side is doing a better job of clearing for the swing.

Frank Russon, from Golftec, and I worked on creating a better wrist hinge, making a more compact movement and staying connected throughout the backswing. In the before swing, notice how late the wrists hinge and how far past the parallel the club goes at the top of the backswing. In the second video,  is more controlled which seems to clean up the rest of the backswing.

Watch for a more controlled swing and a slightly more descending strike. Still working on getting rid of the flippy hand action.
