Mizuno MP-59 irons

Mizuno Golf is the latest to bring out new irons for the winter golf shop purchasing cycle and the new MP-59 forged irons look like a real winner.

There main selling point is a titanium insert forged into the center of the muscle back which is said to provide forgiveness on off center like a full sized cavity does but with a player’s half cavity design.

According to Dick Lyons VP and General Manager, Mizuno USA, Inc., “With Mizuno’s Ti Muscle technology, we’ve preserved the soft feel and compact head size that Mizuno MP players expect, while increasing forgiveness, which is truly the “holy grail” combination of performance characteristics for today’s more serious players.”

“The MP-59′s are ground breaking in concept and design, with a look, feel, and play unlike any forged iron Mizuno has delivered to date.”

Twelve grams of titanium material are forged into the muscle of the MP-59 for a 5% larger sweet spot compared to the MP-58.

MP-59s are a traditional MP sized head shape for the workability required by better players. Right and left hand models with Dynamic Gold S300 shafts carry a MSRP of $999.99 and are in shops now.
