Ecco Fashion (Shoes)

Spring 2012 Ecco will debut their new Biom Hybrid Street shoes for men. These game changers will hit stores in December and will be available in four different color combinations. Women have to wait a couple months longer the Hybrids, but will be well worth it as Ecco has elevated the style of its street golf shoes with cool details such as wingtips. The shoes were among golf’s big product introductions at the PGA Fall Expo in Las Vegas. The Danish footwear built the shoe’s anatomical sole based on scans of more than 2,500 feet and their outsole has 100 TPU traction bars for stability. The shoe mixes the savvy of the most popular style in golf these days with the same advanced ergonomic design. The suggested retail $190 due to the quality of the butter soft Yak leather; the same used Biom shoe introduced earlier this year. Many enjoy the Golf Street shoe this will be the best of both worlds.

New products are more successful when the pros recognize the quality and use them. For example, when Fred Couples decided, without prompting from ECCO, to start wearing the Golf Street of the blue in January 2010, ECCO orders were already in place for the coming season. North American retailers were subsequently caught short when demand went through the roof from all those who wanted to be just like Freddie. So, if you see Fred wearing the BIOM Hybrid this coming January, cross your fingers that your green grass shop or big box retailer of choice has enough stock on hand to meet demand, because there will be lots of it.
