If the 2011 Solheim Cup is played in the rain, then rest assured that the two competing manufacturers will not suffer the same fate as the US Ryder Cup team. This is about performance under extreme conditions with the Cup in the balance. Both have all seams sealed with cinch cords in the jacket waistline. Sunice added an outer material on the inside pants leg to allow players to clean their clubs without touching them.
Top of the line retail for Sunice outfit is $800 but they have other options to match Abacus lower price line.
Other companies stand in the wings including the new Weather Company boasting stylish seam reinforced gear that costs $60 for the pants, jacket and hat but no waterproof measurements are given.
Perhaps the sun will shine upon the Solheim Cup, but whatever Mother Nature brings, both sides are ready with the proper gear. May the best team win!
