We are just 8 weeks into spring but the weather and the golf season has been in mid summer form for well over a month. We have been blessed this year with some of the best early course conditions ever in New England and temperatures that have been well over seasonal averages. The combination has been a shot in the arm to the golf industry throughout the northeast, which in past years has not fared so well during the spring season. If its April then it must be time for the Masters Tournament which each year marks the start of the Majors. With Tiger announcing his return to golf there is buzz once again around golf. Every year the Masters is a special event like no other, the mystique of Augusta National and the beauty and splendor of a time gone by in the game. Augusta is the right place for Tiger to return to the game because there is only one thing that holds the spotlight at this tournament and that is golf. Things I Wish Were Like They Use To Be Weather The weather is cooler, weter and windier in both spring and fall over the last 5 years. I miss fall ,Indian summers, and springs that have sunny days in the high 60s. Now in New England we seem to go right from winter into summer in late June, and summer only last two months at best. I would like once again to have four distinct seasons in New England. While we are on weather, weather forecasters never use to predict weather more than two or three days ahead. Now weather is forecasted as much as a week ahead and is rarely correct that far in advance. I Call Him Coach
It brings sadness to my heart to say goodbye to a great friend and a person who has changed the lives of so many.
