I believe amateur golfers have a perception problem with the golf swing. Their picture is that of a swing with a series of movements that occur on each side of the body; one set of movements on the right side for a back swing and one set on the left side for the follow through (right-handed player). We get this perception from watching Golf on T.V. . Why? T.V. is of the two dimensional nature.
A golf swing is 3-dimensional and that is where real power exists, not in this movement from side to side, like your living in a 2- Dimensional box. The back swing is a upward coiling. The down swing is a downward uncoiling and the follow through is a recoiling back up. This is where you will find your raw power.
