The Perfect Foursome At InnisBrook Resort & Golf Club

By: Richard Kelley on 12/01/08 08:49 PM

The 2008 golf season is quickly winding down in New England and soon fall will be at our doorstep with cool temperatures and those dreaded frost delays. If you are like me, this is the time to start planning that yearly golf vacation. There are many golf destinations throughout the country that will offer you a complete golf vacation package but few have more to offer then The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.

Innisbrook is located just 30 minutes from Tampa International Airport in Palm Harbor Florida. Innisbrook makes it easy, just arrive and they will take care of the rest. One of the most difficult logistical issues with both golf trips and business outings is the travel, how do we get everyone here to enjoy him or herself in the least amount of time. Airline travel can eat up as much as one entire day in and out of airports. This is where the Tampa region outshines many of the other golf locations nationwide. Southwest Airlines as well as three other carriers provide non-stop service from Northeast locations into Tampa every day and it's just a short 3-hour flight to the first tee.

The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club for over three decades has been a benchmark in golf and resort accommodations in the Tampa region. The facility, which is located on 900 acres of rolling hills with over70 acres of lakes, is located just minutes from Tampa International Airport. The facility will complete a 26 million dollar renovation in October of this year with the opening of a new full service luxury spa. What makes Innisbrook standout, as one of America's premier golf resorts is its ability to provide guest with complete services at one facility. The resort boasts 72 holes of championship golf, 620 guest suites, four specialty restaurants, and three bars. To ad to that there is 65,000 sq.ft. of meeting space and six swimming pools as well as 11 tennis courts, and countless other recreational amenities.

At Innisbrook you can play the courses the PGA Pros play on the resorts famed Copperhead course, home of the PGA Tour Transitions Championship, as well as three other championship courses the Island Course, and the Highlands North and South Courses. All four courses present golfers with great conditions and excellent layouts that will keep you coming back for more. Innisbrook also offers professional instruction at the awarding winning Innisbrook Golf Institute for all levels of players. One of the truly great things about the resort is that you could just arrive here from the airport and skip the car rental, this resort offers full on site and off site shuttle and transportation service. With the variety of golf, restaurants, and recreation and amenities it is easy to see why this is one of Golf Digest Top 75 Golf Resorts in America.

Home to the PGA Tour's Transitions Championship, Innisbrook is offering an unprecedented value to golfers from October 2, 2008 – January 14, 2009. For only $269 per person, per night, golfers can play five rounds of golf with a cart, and enjoy three nights in spacious suite accommodations with kitchenette and private balcony or patio. The package also includes daily breakfast, a daily clinic, and use of the practice facilities, club storage, and a gift pack. All rounds are reserved at the time of booking. Suite upgrades are also available.

Innisbrook Island

At Innisbrook, golfers have the opportunity to play the "Perfect Foursome" – the Resort's four fabulous courses: Copperhead, Island, Highlands North and Highlands South. There are no surcharges to play at Copperhead, despite the course hosting an annual PGA TOUR stop, or on any of Innisbrook's championship layouts. As an added bonus, groups of nine or more will be assigned a personal golf concierge, who will handle every last detail.

"Our advantage over most golf destinations is having four courses that offer great challenge and diversity," says Innisbrook's Director of Golf Jay Overton. "But what keeps our guests returning year after year is the service expertise of a truly dedicated staff. Our philosophy is based on making sure our golf guests feel this is their private club away from home, and groups are provided extraordinary care and attention by their personal golf concierge.

Loch Ness Pool

Lets not forget its football season, Tampa is the Home of This years Super Bowl and Raymond James Stadium is right around the corner from Innisbrook. The resort is hosting the Franco Harris Charity event for NFL Charities on Friday of Super Bowl week and is party central for the main event. The resort is offering a great 4-night package that includes 7 rounds of golf, meals, spa treatments, gift packages and transportation to and from the game. There is also a huge Super Bowl party at the resort. Lets hope Bill gets the Pats back to the big dance this year. You should call early for this package is surely will sell out quickly.
