Rob Oppenheim and Trevor Murphy performed beautifully today in the 3rd round at second stage of PGA Tour Q-School.  Both New Englanders carded just one bogey on the day shooting 66 and 67 respectively.

At Callaway Gardens where there are only 20 available spots to move on to finals Rob Oppenheim turned in the second lowest round of the day draining seven birdies with just one blemish for a third round total of 66.  Rob's great performance shot him up the leaderboard on moving day from T30 to T11.

At Southern Hills Trevor Murphy was just as impressive carding six birdies and one bogey on route to a five under par 67.  Brad Adamonis and Jim Renner who were in great position going into round three struggled today.  Adamonis suffered a triple bogey on the 10th hole which was the hardest hole of the day shooting 75 and Renner carded three double bogies shooting 76.

Jon Curran who is in his first attempt at PGA Tour Q-School struggled a bit in the first two rounds but came back today with a three birdie bogey free round of 68.  Trust me I played Hombre in the Second Stage back in 2007 and to play the Bad/Ugly without a blemish is an accomplish ment in itself.  Jon moved up 12 spots to T32 and is just 3 shots outside the number to move on to finals.
