Geoff Sisk leads Mylan Classic by 2 after round 3

Steve Riggs New England Golf Monthly Writer By: Steve Riggs on 09/04/10 09:20 AM

Team New England's Geoff Sisk missed the cut last week in Knoxville, came back to TPC Boston to play in the Red Sox Legends ProAm, now finds himself leading the Mylan Classic, Cannonsburg, PA by two shots at -12 par 201.  Local favorite, Steve Wheatcroft was unable to close the gap in the swirling wind at the Southpoint Golf Club, just outside Pittsburgh on Saturday, in spite of a third round 68.  Patrick Sheehan is tied for 5th place at 208 or 5 under, also firing a 3rd round 68.

Perhaps coming home to New England for a couple days helped clear Geoff's mind. Sisk, 45, has made 6 cuts in 17 starts coming into the Mylan Classic.

Sisk, 45, has had dual status on both the PGA and Nationwide Tours since 2007.  Geoff tees off at 11:40am ET Sunday.
