What Happens After 50!
We assume that nothing is suppose to happen at 50, except for the fact that we start to go downhill and we cannot be as good as we once were. I am here to tell you that is wrong, so very wrong. As long as we still have the tools to play and a positive mental attitude, that's all we need.
We might lose a few yards off the tee, but that's not important. We just have to work at our positive mental attitude. The clubs do not know how old you are. So I suggest when you go out and play a few rounds, just focus on each shot regardless of where it goes. Focus on very few things when playing. Remember the basics.
Trust me, everything will fall in line. Try to keep away from a lot of mechanics of the swing on the course, and just let it happen. Hold your hand on the club very lightly, especially the right hand, as it's the one that gets us into trouble at times. By doing this, your tempo and timing will get better. Also, you'll be able to focus much better, and then your attitude gets much better along with it.
To do better, you do not have to do it perfectly. It's important to remember to repeat a good swing, and that will automatically happen more often, no matter what level we play at. Enjoy the game first. You shouldn't have to make it work if you follow those steps. When you have the tools, trust and belief are just as important as mechanics.
