Designed to rival the country's best...Pinehills is right in our backyard
Pinehills Golf Club ranks as one of the best public golf facilities in the country. For all golf enthusiast in the entire region I can only say this facility is a gift to us all, one of the finest public access golf courses you will play anywhere. You can travel far and wide across this great land to play golf and not find a better daily fee course that will give you such a memorable round of golf. The best part, it is right here in our own back yard.
The Golf Club is located just a few minutes of Route 3 in Plymouth just minutes north of the Cape Cod Canal. The region, which boasts a number of the best golf facilities in the state, is a perfect location for the community called Pinehills that has been developed surrounding the two courses. The rolling hills of Plymouth adjacent to Myles Standish State Park offers a quality of life unsurpassed by almost anywhere in New England.
On over 300 acres the two golf courses are carved among the rolling hills and winding pine groves in a beautifully manicured setting. The wonderful vista’s tee to green are some of the best you will find anywhere in golf. It is hard to believe that this community is also home to thousands of residents of the South Shore.
In 2001 Pinehills Golf Club opened it’s first of two 18-hole courses with the Jones Course. Reese Jones for the last 37 years has become one of the best known course architects in the world. The Jones Course plays at 7,175 yards from the tips and is rated at 73.8 with a slope of 135. There are four sets of tees with the whites bringing the course down to a very manageable length of only 6,200 yards.
The Nicklaus Course followed in 2002 designed by Jack Nicklaus II. The course plays at 7,243 yards from the tips and is rated at 74.3 with a slope of 135. The Nicklaus design has a completely different feel than the Jones layout. Each course offers a distinct challenge for all levels of players. As with the Jones course the white tee’s play at a just over 6,100 yards.
Pinehills was designed and built to offer a great experience in golf at every level of the game. The course is laid out with generous distance from hole to hole, each one with a distinct character of its own. The beauty of this design and layout is that it offers a very personal and private feel for each foursome on the course.
The only place at Pinehills where you may feel crowded is in the parking lot. The facilities are designed to move play and are monitored constantly by a very personable and friendly staff. From the moment you arrive at the majestic New England Style clubhouse you will know you are in for a great day of golf.
