      Ode to the 16th Hole

I’ve seen 16 from both sides now. From corporate grand, to bleacher land.

It’s par illusions I recall. I really don’t know golf at all.

Cheers and jeers from all the fans; Streakers leaping from the stands,

Camilo posing on the green, Women squealing – what a scene.

It’s putting illusions I recall. I really don’t know golf at all.

Caddie race- green, yellow, white. Leaderboard is getting tight.

Eagles soar and birdies fly.  Bogies make the grown men cry.

It’s birdie illusions I recall. I really don’t know golf at all.

Cleavage bouncing all around, On legendary golfers’ grounds.

Young and old men leered and laughed ,Trying not to spill their drafts.

It’s par illusions they recall. They really don’t know golf at all.

I’ve seen 16 from both sides now. From Tiger’s ace in 97

To Rickie Fowler, sent from heaven.

As Thunderbirds give and give, Long may the Phoenix Open live!

It’s green illusions I recall. I really DO know golf after all!
