Fairways are fairly wide, but, with over 2200 trees and sandboxes to snare those wayward tee shots. Rolling hills and water hazards abound. The constant elevation changes require strategic concentration on your landing area. Water comes into play on 12 of the 18 holes. The par 5, 18th signature hole is a great example. The large fairway invites a good rip from the tee box. Success there entices a direct second shot to the green. A lake lining the right side of the fairway and greenside along with guarding bunkers make for a fun finishing hole, whatever the final score. The clubhouse has all the amenities with a friendly staff and comfy locker rooms. The Out of Bounds Bar and Grill lounge serves food and drinks for a satisfying 19th hole.

The ambience is great, beginning with a long table shaped like a gondola filled with ice for fresh oysters that are hand shucked, accompanying large firm tiger shrimp and bountiful king crab. While the menu is varied, go for the steak as a main course. Make room for dessert even though it seems impossible. If you finish with the crème brulee, it will transport you to France.
