2009 WGAM ANNE MARIE TOBIN PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD

The Women’s Golf Association of Massachusetts has announced that Tara Joy Connelly from Cohasset Golf Club is the 2009 winner of the WGAM Anne Marie Tobin Player of the Year Award. This is the sixth overall win for Tara and the fifth consecutive year she has attained this honor. The selection process for the Player of the Year Award is based upon points issued for performance in WGAM events, USGA events, and certain other regional and national competitions. The WGAM will present this award to Tara at the Association’s Annual Meeting and Past Presidents’ Reception on December 8th at the Charles River Country Club.

 

Tara placed First in the Endicott Cup, Third in the Edith Noblit Baker tournament, Fourth in NEWGA, was a finalist in the WGAM State Amateur Championship, placed Third in the Grace Keyes Cup, and won the Massachusetts Women’s Open. She additionally earned points as a local and site qualifier and medalist in the U.S. Mid-Amateur and qualified for match play on-site.
