Tiger Woods tweets! For real, this time

Posted in What's News by on November 30th, 2010

November 30 — Those of you with jobs and, you know, lives, missed Tiger Woods’ half-hour Twitter banter with fans Tuesday afternoon. Yes, the same Tiger Woods who took considerable heat a couple weeks ago for his half-hearted attempt at joining the social networking crowd.
The golf world once again was all a-Twitter, but this time Woods actually responded to questions from fans — if not to those from fellow golfers. The non-stop kibitzing from golf’s No. 1 Lee Westwood and reigning Travelers (Cromwell, Conn.) champ Bubba Watson added to the banter.
After learning that Tiger enjoys a bit of PB&J on the golf course, the world’s No. 1 golfer jumped into the act.
“hey tiger don’t give those peanut and banana sanwiches to steve! He’ll blow you away! Or the ear drums of the mic man!!!” @WestwoodLee tweeted.
Undeterred by Woods’ lack of a response, Westwood threatened, “Tiger’s blanking me! I’ll get sparrow legs to have a go!”
Old “sparrow legs” himself, @IanJamesPoulter, chimed in later with this nugget:
“Tiger called across the putting green today & said ‘don’t you know know how to mark ur ball,’ I said ‘settle down, No. 2′”
Not to be outdone, @bubbawatson got in his digs as well: “tiger woooodss!!!! Do you still hit it short off the tee????”
Oh, yeah, @TigerWoods posted this Twitpic of himself, “getting a lesson in @ replies.”
And that’s what you missed today on Twitter.
Woods has another chance this week to win his first event of the 2010 season.
